Get Scholarwire for Canvas.

The extension is the Canvas half of the product. It reads your school's Canvas with the session you are signed into, and it installs with access to nothing.

The Chrome listing is on its way. Start free, and connect Canvas when the listing lands.

Safari and Firefox are not supported. Neither is a phone browser, because extensions do not run there. You can still put the semester on your phone: turn on the calendar subscription and add it to your calendar app.

Troubleshooting

If something does not work.

The popup says permission required

Chrome asks for the site grant from a click inside the popup. Open your Canvas tab first, then open the popup and click Use this site. If Chrome shows a toolbar prompt instead, approve it there.

I granted the wrong address

Open the extension's own page in your browser's extensions list, find Site access, and remove the address you granted. Then open the Canvas tab you use, open the popup, and click Use this site again. Granting an extra address does no harm: the extension reads only the one it is pointed at.

Sync finds no courses

Check that you are signed in to Canvas in the same browser profile, and that the address you granted is the one you use. Courses that have ended are hidden by default.

Start now, connect Canvas when you are at a computer.

The account is free and takes a minute. The extension is the other half, and it can come later.

14 days of Pro when you connect Canvas, no card. Cancel in one click.
