Pricing questions

Before you ask.

Will the free features move to Pro later?

No. Canvas sync, the calendar, the planner, notes, flashcards and quizzes stay free. Pro only covers the things with a per-student server cost.

What is a credit?

One AI action, and the number follows the size of the job. A study set from one lecture's notes, which is a study guide, a deck and a quiz in one, is about 8 credits. A deck of flashcards on its own is about 4, and from a whole unit with twice the cards about 6. You see the exact number on the button before you press it, and that is what you are charged.

Small work costs less. A quick note turned into ten cards is 2 credits, and two paragraphs explained is 1. Big work costs more, because longer notes take more reading and a longer paper takes more writing: a practice exam runs from 4 credits to 13. A message to Tutor is 1 credit, however long the answer is.

Your 14-day trial, which starts the moment you connect Canvas, adds 3 credits a day, up to 30 across the whole trial, a few at a time rather than all at once. After that, a free account gets 3 a month, which is a couple of questions to Tutor or one small deck, and Pro gets 250, and monthly credits refresh on the same day each month.

What happens when I run out?

Every study feature keeps working: your notes, decks, quizzes, the calendar and the planner do not use credits. Only the AI buttons wait: for your trial's credits, for the first of the month, or for an upgrade.

A smaller job may still fit. One lecture instead of a whole unit, or ten cards instead of thirty, costs fewer credits, and the button tells you the number before you press it.

Can I cancel?

Yes, and the app keeps working. Your data is on your device, so cancelling drops you back to the free plan rather than locking you out of anything.

What happens after my 14-day trial?

The 14 days start the moment you connect Canvas. When they end you drop to Free automatically, no card ever charged: 3 AI credits a month and 2 courses of your choice on the calendar feed and .ics export.

Any of the trial's 30 credits you did not use do not carry over. Nothing is deleted, and you can pick a different 2 courses or upgrade any time. If you never connect Canvas, you stay on Free with no trial to end.

Is there a student discount?

The annual price is the discount: $44 a year is $3.67 a month against $4.99 paid monthly, which is two months free. There is no separate code and no .edu address to verify, because the whole product is priced for students.

The free plan is also permanent, not a trial that expires: Canvas sync, the calendar, the planner, notes, flashcards, quizzes and 3 AI credits a month, for as long as you want it.

Set it up once, at the start of the semester.

Connect Canvas and the 14 days start. After that the free plan is the real product, not a locked version of it.
